Proposal for Rosewood Hotel Group

Impact & Sustainability
Module 3

Training for Action. A video learning program that turns sustainability policy into daily practice across every hotel department.

Understanding

From awareness to action

Modules 1 and 2 built the foundation. Associates understand why sustainability matters. Module 3 is where it gets real: specific actions, specific departments, measurable results.

The challenge is not information. It's translation. A housekeeper, a chef, and an engineer face completely different waste streams. Generic training gets forgotten. Department-specific training changes behavior.

Deliverables

8-10 videos. Real locations. Real operations.

Live Action + Animation

Real hotel operations filmed on location, combined with motion graphics that visualize waste flows, targets, and best practices.

Department-Specific

Each video targets a specific department: F&B, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, Finance, T&C, Communications. No generic filler.

14 Languages

English master videos with professional subtitles in 14 languages. Arabic to Vietnamese. Accessible to 15,000+ associates worldwide.

SCORM-Ready

All content formatted for Rosewood Learning platform. Compatible with existing Module 1 and 2 delivery infrastructure.

Content Plan

9 videos. 5 minutes each. Every department covered.

01

Introduction: Waste, SUP & Food Waste Targets

How RHG targets connect to daily decisions. Every department plays a role.

02

Food & Beverage: Restaurants

Portioning, guest communication, dish drop segregation. Reducing plate waste and packaging.

03

Food & Beverage: Kitchen

Receiving, storage, prep, tracking. Preventing over-production and separating organic waste.

04

Housekeeping: Rooms

Guest bin segregation, refillable amenities, linen-reuse programs. Every room, every day.

05

Housekeeping: Heart-of-House

Pantries, corridors, laundry, waste rooms. Consolidation without losing segregation.

06

Engineering

Waste infrastructure, bin placement, signage, vendor coordination. The systems behind the targets.

07

Talent & Culture

Onboarding, training plans, recognition programs. Building an inclusive sustainability culture.

08

Finance & Purchasing

Purchasing choices linked to waste outcomes. Tracking the true cost of waste and food loss.

09

Communications & Sales

Credibly communicating sustainability efforts. Reducing printed materials. Guest conversations.

Creative Approach

Show, don't lecture

Sustainability training fails when it feels like compliance. Associates tune out the moment they sense a corporate checkbox. Our approach: follow real associates through real situations. No actors reading scripts. Real operations, real challenges, real solutions.

Each video opens with the department's actual pain point. The chef who over-preps because the forecast was wrong. The housekeeper deciding what goes where. The engineer replacing bins nobody uses. Then we show what works, and why.

Animation bridges the gap between action and understanding. A data overlay showing how one kitchen's prep changes ripple through waste metrics. A timeline of a single plastic bottle from guest room to landfill versus recycling stream. Visual storytelling that makes the invisible visible.
